The Walsall Men’s Wellbeing Alliance is a new, borough-wide partnership. Co-founded by 3 Walsall based organisations; The MindKind Projects, Walsall FC Foundation and MettaMinds

We bring together men, grassroots leaders, VCS organisations, faith and community groups, public services and local businesses to improve men’s mental health and wellbeing, reduce male suicide, and build a stronger, kinder Walsall.

Co-founded by organisations working with men in Walsall for over 55 years we know both locally and nationally some of the challenges faced by men today.

Men in Walsall told us they need real-world, stigma-free ways to connect, belong, take action, get support, change, thrive and grow

We connect men to people, places, activities, support and practical next steps, and we help organisations work effectively with men.

We will:

  • Promote Partnership, Best Practice and Inform Policy

  • Capacity Build & Train

  • Amplyfy Voices
  • Co-Design and Co-Create Solutions
  • Forge Pathways & Help Men Navigate Them

  • Connect the Dots

  • Build Compelling Narratives and Evidence For Positive Change

  • Work With All Men in Mind

Via:

  • A Well Trained and Culturally Competent Workforce with Lived Experience
  • Cross Organisational and Sector Strategic Groups
  • A Diverse Group of Engaged and Trained Ambassadors Positioned Where Men Are
  • Men’s Voice Forum and Co-Design and Co-Creation Workshops With Feedback Loops
  • Men’s Wellbeing Awareness and Focussed Engagement Events – delivered where men are
  • Men’s Wellbeing Grants and Collaborative Partnership Programmes
  • A Directory of Available Men’s Services
  • Mental Health and Wellbeing Awareness Marketing Campaigns

Since launch, the WIAM programme has engaged over 1,500 men across consultations, groups, events and outreach, with strong representation from deprived and diverse communities. We’re building on that momentum.
